2000-11 RCL Explorer of the Seas

Eastern Caribbean Cruise Nov 11-18, 2000

The rock climbing wall was much harder than I expected. I did make it half way up.

We really thought that the solarium area was impressive. It had tile floors, padded seats, two large hot tubs and a pool in the central area.

The promenade area ran down the middle of the ship. It was four stories high, with shops on the bottom level.  Each night they had a parade down the promenade.

The miniature golf was on the top deck in the back.

The fountain of youth in the rain forest of San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Also a hanging hibiscus or "Puerto Rican Christmas Tree"

The view from our balcony

... leaving St Thomas

On Board was a TV Studio/Ice Rink in Studio B.  They had a quiz show style game called the Time Warp.  I was on the yellow team. What I didn't know was that the show would be played again and again on the ship's cable system until the end of the cruise.

A really cool Rube Goldberg style golf ball machine in the 18th hole lounge.

OK, I am ready to cruise again!
